United People’s Party Liberal(UPPL) on Thursday addressed a press meet in Kokrajhar against the political remarks being made by Bodoland Peoples’ Front(BPF) party members. The press meet was addressed by EMs-Ranjit Basumatary, Wilson Hasda and Dhananjay Basumatary.
According to the leaders of UPPL, the BPF party has been trying to convince MCLAs of UPPL to join BPF under the pretext of making them EMs after dissolving the current govt and forming a new one.
Addressing the reporters today at a press conference held at UPPL central office in Kokrajhar, UPPL spokespersons informed that the present political propaganda made by opposition BPF is only to create confusion and political chaos in BTR.
Speaking about their propaganda, EM Wilson Hasda said, “There is no input of Executive Members(EMs) merging with BPF as of now. All Executive Members (UPPL and BJP) are intact within the party as the UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government is working smoothly.”
BTC Executive Member(EM) Dhananjay Basumatary said that the reports of elected ruling members including him merging with the opposition i.e BPF is totally baseless. Basumatary added that the opposition BPF party has been trying to create confusion and political chaos by making politically fabricated rumors among the common people.
“The UPPL-BJP-GSP alliance government is working dedicatedly towards the welfare and development of the society since its inception,” He further said.
