As a part of the green airport initiative program and towards net zero emission and ACI4+ accreditation, on January 6, Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International (LGBI) airport, installed an Electronic Vehicle (EV) fast charging station at the VIP parking area of the airport premises.
Also, Adani Total Gas Limited supported this facility. From now, persons possessing electric vehicles can utilize the facility by giving the required charge of the vehicle.
LGBI airport introduced 6 EV Vehicles to make a cleaner and greener environment committed to ensuring Green Airport. This step aims to significantly contribute to the nation’s green infrastructure while comprehending passengers’ preferences.
“LGBI airport committed to achieving the target of carbon neutral by 2024,” said an official of LGBIA. “The LGBIA takes pride in its vision and mission to create an ecosystem that is centred to fast-track its journey towards carbon neutrality,” he added.
