Indian Awaz Foundation Initiated a campaign ‘Aid for Assam’ with a vision to run throughout the entire state of Assam. The campaign is primly focusing on distributing First-aid kits to the vulnerable communities of the state. On 26th March 2023, the distribution of first aid kits has taken place in the locality of Lalmati Madhabpur Basistha, Guwahati where people Below the Poverty Line are living their livelihoods. Indian Awaz Foundation has initiated this campaign to reach out to the most vulnerable communities of Assam.
The Foundation has already accelerated the campaign in Lakhimpur District and the Barrack Valley. It has completed a segment, currently, the organization aims to approach the communities of those who are left behind by challenging and unavoidable situations. Flowingly, IAF has initiated this campaign keeping in mind how a basic necessity can be inaccessible to a community of our society. The above-poverty line people have witnessed how basic first-aid necessities are important for households and the need for such necessities shouldn’t be ignored. The team of the Indian Awaz Foundation is working rigorously for the upliftment of society by empowering them and providing necessities.
The Distribution Drive in Guwahati was completed by the volunteers of the foundation who have chosen to be responsible citizens. The area was selected by the team and the foundation through surveys and groundwork and later connected with the community to proceed with the drive. The Founder and Managing Director of Indian Awaz Foundation Md. Nazim Ahmed said, “Aid for Assam is an Initiative of Indian Awaz Foundation and we will reach out to our maximum capacity to help and uplift the society. I believe just one person cannot bring change but each person can by just accepting their responsibility towards society. I am doing my part and we need the support of our people to uplift our people who are left behind for certain challenges”.
