30th May 2023: Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS has assumed the charge of Inspector General of Guwahati Frontier Border Security Force at Patgaon, Guwahati. Sh Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS is an IPS officer of 1998 batch from Himachal Pradesh cadre and belongs to Uttar Pradesh. He served as SP at various districts, IG Law & Order, IG Adm Welfare and Addl DG in Himachal Pradesh. He has also served in UIDAI (AADHAR) & in ITBP as DIG. He has been conferred with Presidents Police Medal for Meritorious Service in the year 2022. He has also served in U N peace keeping force in Sudan.
On the other hand, Kamaljeet Singh Banyal, IG BSF has been posted to BSF Subsidiary Training Centre, Tekenpur who handed over the baton to incumbent Shri Dinesh Kumar Yadav on 30th May 2023.
Notably, Dinesh Kumar Yadav, IPS after assuming the charge has stressed upon effective Border Management to prevent crimes along the Indo- Bangladesh International Border. He has emphasized to strengthen the cordial relationship between the Border guarding Forces of the two neighboring countries and need to promote a sense of security among the people living in the bordering area.
