Uttarakhand: 30 People Die After Bus Plunges into 200-Foot Gorge

News Desk, October 9— A tragic accident in Uttarakhand has resulted in the deaths of 30 wedding guests after a bus carrying them fell into a 200-foot-deep gorge. The incident, which occurred around 8 A.M., has also left several others seriously injured and in need of urgent medical attention.

Emergency responders, including local police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), quickly arrived at the scene to recover bodies and rescue survivors. Medical teams are currently working tirelessly to treat the injured, many of whom are reported to be in critical condition.

The Speaker of the Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly, Ritu Khanduri, visited the site soon after hearing the news. Local authorities confirmed that the bus was carrying around 50 passengers who were traveling from Laldhang town in Haridwar to Bironkhal village in the Gauri district, just two kilometres from the bride’s home.

This horrific event has sent shockwaves throughout the region, prompting an outpouring of grief and support for the victims and their families.
