Kokrajhar: Bodoland Territorial Region Executive Member, Wilson Hasda, graced the 128th birth anniversary celebration of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in Gossaigaon. The event was organized by the All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Federation (AABYSF).

During the celebration, EM Hasda unveiled a statue of Netaji alongside UPPL Central Secretary Shri Raju Narzary, AABYSF Central President Shri Deepak Dey, Gossaigaon District President Shri Sajal Saha, former president and current district advisor Shri Uttam Saha, and several other dignitaries.

It may be mentioned that, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose championed armed resistance against British rule. He formed the Indian National Army (INA), inspiring millions with his “Give me blood, and I shall give you freedom” slogan. The INA, though militarily unsuccessful, significantly impacted the freedom struggle. The trials of INA soldiers after the war sparked widespread protests, weakening British rule and accelerating India’s path to independence.
