20 water ATMs and 30 bio toilets have been installed in Guwahati under the Smart City Mission. The initiative has been inaugurated by the Guwahati development minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya inside the Guwahati Medical College premises on Thursday.
The locations of both the services have been choosen in a manner that both can be availed by maximum number of people in the city.
According to sources, the project cost for the water ATMs including their operation and maintenance cost is Rs.2.09 crore and the project cost for bio-toilets including operation and maintenance is Rs. 9.53 crore respectively
