Governor Tathagata Roy today administered the oath of office to Justice Ajay Kumar Mittal as the new Chief Justice of the High Court of Meghalaya at the Raj Bhavan here.
Justice Mittal succeeds outgoing Chief Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir.
Chief Justice Mittal was earlier a judge at the Punjab and Haryana High Court.
