In an unfortunate incident, a young girl fell into the flooding waters of the Bhelengi River in Barpeta.
The victim has been identified as Saraswati Rai, daughter of one Dinabandhu Rai. The incident has occurred in Baghbar’s Kopoha Village.
According to reports, Saraswati was visiting her maternal uncle pertaining to a NRC hearing.
The deceased was a resident of Bishpani Village in Chirang.
