A CISF jawan – Mamud Ali from Dalagaon in Nagarbera had to face a D-Voter notice from a Foreigners’ Tribunal in the state. Ali was served a notice to prove his citizenship.
He has been with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for the last 25 years.
“I have been serving the nation dedicatedly for the last 25 years, I am shocked. I don’t know what to do. I’m just a jawan. All my documents were verified when I was enrolled in the job,” a disturbed Ali said.
“This extremely unfortunate and shockingly it keeps on happening. This is the negligent attitude of the government agencies for which genuine Indian citizens are harassed and it is also unfortunate that the dedicated security personnel are being declared foreigners by the government repeatedly,” local people said.
