Gossaigaon,Aug 25-The chairman of a Co-operative Society has been brutally attacked by a group of miscreants in Tamarhat area on Saturday last at around 11.30 PM under Dhubri district .The injured has been identified as Maidul Islam, vice president of Kokrajhar district Youth Congress.
According to sources, Maidul was heading back to home, when the miscreants brutally attacked with sharp weapons.Later he was admitted to Bongaigaon Hospital with critical injuries.
Meanwhile, Police initiated an investigation with the following the incident.
