Guwahati: Geetanagar police arrested two persons in connection with cybercrime from Mathgharia area of the city on Monday.
They are identified as Fakaruddin Khan and Shamim from Sikarpur of Haryana.
Police recovered 30 ATM cards and two cheque books from their possession.
A case has been registered in this connection at Geetanagar Police Station under sections 420/379/511 IPC.
“During interrogation, they could not give any satisfactory answer. It is suspected that they came to commit some ATM fraud,” police said adding further investigation is on.
