The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday, March 18, late evening announced that as a precautionary measure and in compliance of the instructions received from Secretary, Department of Higher Education/School Education and Literacy, Government of India, it has been decided to reschedule the ongoing board examinations for class 10 and class 12 students all across the country and abroad.
In the notification released, the CBSE has instructed that, “All ongoing examinations of the board of classes 10 and 12, being held in examination centres in India and abroad, and scheduled between March 19, 2020 to March 31, 2020 (both dates inclusive), shall be rescheduled after March 31, 2020.”
Rescheduled dates will be communicated by the board by March 31, 2020, after re-assessment of the situation.
All the ongoing board exams related evaluation work in various evaluation centres in the country is also suspended upto March 31, 2020.
All Centre Nodal Supervisors may ensure rescheduling of evaluation work from April 01, 2020, unless otherwise informed by the Board.
