With this message, the Registrar, Prof. Diganta Kumar Das along with a few officials and staff members of Cotton University carried out a plantation drive at Kewa Village, Sonapur on Friday morning.

With a pledge to save the environment, the University team planted saplings of many fruit bearing trees in and around the village. Notably, the Vice Chancellor of Cotton University, Prof. Bhabesh Chandra Goswami through a video message appealed the University fraternity to plant at least one to ten numbers of fruit bearing or medicinal plants individually during the month of June. He further requested everyone to take care of the trees planted like their own children and email photos of their growing plants to the id: mytree2020@cottonuniversity.ac.in.

Prof. Goswami is known to be an environment enthusiast and often encourages students, teachers and other members of the University to take care of the environment. Under his guidance, the University has planned to organize more plantation drives in the University premises as well as its adopted villages to ensure a better and greener future.
