A new hospital for the treatment of COVID-19 has been inaugurated by health minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Wednesday at the Khanapara Veterinary Playground in Guwahati.
Inaugurated a 900-bed #COVID19 care hospital today at Khanapara field, Guwahati, in presence of MoS @Pijush_hazarika. It has individual rooms with attached bathrooms for patients.

900-beds are available for patients tested positive for COVID-19. The minister said, “Except for an ICU every other facility is available for the patients”.
