GUWAHATI: The state government of Assam has issued some rules and regulations for inter-district movement of citizens for two days on July 30-31. The bus service which will move from one district to another will have to follow certain norms issued by the Assam government.
A bus can carry only 50 percent passengers and the travelers have been asked to follow COVID-19 rules and regulations during the journey.
Meanwhile, 11 buses will travel from Guwahati to Upper Assam while a total of 51 buses will travel in the entire state.
“We are travelling to Lakhimpur. We were stuck in Guwahati for weeks due to the ban in inter-district travel,” said a passenger.
