90 new COVID cases in Meghalaya

Altogether 90 new COVID-19 cases have been detected and 125 patients have recovered from the infection in the past 24 hours in Meghalaya.

According to health officials, 93 of the recovered patients are from East Khasi Hills district, 17 from Ri-Bhoi, eight from East Jaintia Hills, three from South Garo Hills, two from South West Garo Hills and one from East Garo Hills.

Among the new cases, East Khasi Hills reported 69 cases, West Garo Hills 16, South West Garo Hills two, while North Garo Hills, South Garo Hills and West Khasi Hills districts reported one case each.

The total number of active cases in the State is currently at 1,480 while the number of recovered patients has touched 3,779. The overall number of COVID-19 cases in the State is 5,302 besides 43 deaths.
