GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal inaugurated the Birsa Munda Stadium and unveiled a statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda at Chapar Tea Estate in Dhubri district of the western part of the state on Monday.
The stadium has been constructed at a cost of Rs. 97.72 lakh under CSR scheme of Oil India Limited (OIL). CM Sonowal expressed hope that it would boost the sports infrastructure of the district.
