SHILLONG, Oct 8 – Meghalaya has reported 128 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours. As many as 88 patients have also recovered from the infection during this period.
With the new caseload, the total active cases in the State have touched 2,411. The recoveries now stand at 4,694.
Out of the new recoveries, 69 were reported from East Khasi Hills, seven from East Jainita Hills, five each from North Garo Hills and West Garo Hills, and two from Ri-Bhoi district. The total death toll so far is 60, out of which 55 have been reported from East Khasi Hills district alone.
