GUWAHATI: Assam Chief Minster Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday met five surrendered militant groups from Assam. The main reason behind the meeting was to discuss the issues that are facing after their surrender.
The five militant groups are, Adivasi Cobra Militant of Assam(ACMA), Birsa Commando Force(BCF), All Adivasi National Liberation Army(ANLA), Santhal Tiger Force(STF) and Adivasi Peoples Army(APA).

It is to be mentioned that this five militant groups are among the nine groups which laid down arms at Indira Gandhi Stadium in Guwahati on January 24, 2012. Former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoiand Former Union Home Minister P Chidambaram were present at the arms lay down ceremony.
