Rahul Gandhi to visit Assam today on last day of campaigning for Phase 2

GUWAHATI: Congress leader and former party president Rahul Gandhi will visit the State on Tuesday. Gandhi will campaign for the party ahead of the second phase of Assam Assembly election.

Gandhi will address a program at Silchar. Later, he will attend public rallies at Haflong and Bokajan.

It is to be mentioned that Phase 1 of the election in 47 constituencies was held on March 27 and 79.93 percent voter turnout was recorded. The second phase of the assembly election in Assam will be held in 39 constituencies comprising of 13 districts. The second phase will be held on 1 April, 2021 in assembly constituencies of (1-20, 56, 57, 59, 64-70, 79-82, 86, 87, 90-92).
