GUWAHATI: A minor girl was allegedly sexually abused by her tuition teacher. The girl is 10-year-old and is a student of class 5. The accused has been identified as Prabin Kalita, a retired High School teacher in Bajali, Assam.
The parents of the victim have lodged an FIR against the accused teacher at the Patacharkuchi police station on Friday. In the police complaint, the father of the minor girl alleged that the teacher, aged 67, had called the child for tuition at his home and sexually abused her during the class.
Later the victim narrated the ordeal before her parents.
The minor girl(victim) has been referred to the Fakruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital in Barpeta for treatment.
Meanwhile, the news of the incident has spread like wildfire in Bajali and the locals have demanded a proper investigation into the incident.
