Following the orders of Assam chief minister Dr. Himanta Biswa, the Kamrup(M) District Transport Office has started a drive against those vehicles that are plying in the city without paying the taxes or with failed documents. The officials were seen busy conducting the drive in the city.
Gautam Das, Kamrup District Transport Officer, (Registration & Licencing) has requested everyone to pay their motor vehicle arrear taxes by 30 September.
“I request all the owners, drivers of vehicles to kindly check their documents and renew them by 30th September. Luxury vehicle owners should come forward and pay their arrear taxes. We will be able to collect around Rs. 15 crore in arrear taxes,” said DTO Gautam Das.
