Guwahati is all set for the Grand Opening of the new flyover in the Dispur-Supermarket area. As per reports, the newly built flyover is very likely to be inaugurated this Diwali.
It is a double-lane T-shaped structure and in a length of 1.21 kilometers. The flyover will facilitate connectivity for commuters between Dispur and Khanapara and the Supermarket and the Last gate. It is built with an estimated budget of around Rs. 127.20 crores.
Assam CM Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma walked from the Supermarket to the Janata Bhavan on October 27, through the flyover.
The flyover is beautifully designed with some traditional arts and paintings by local Artists. Every block showcases the rich heritage and culture of Assam and the Northeast. The beautiful artwork gives life to the walls. The people of Guwahati are soon to have a new landmark.
