Assam daughter Malleeka Bora was crowned Mrs. Queen of the World India 2021 on November 8 in a grand event held at Mumbai. Bora will represent India in USA in March 2022.
Malleeka Bora is a Consultant Psychiatrist practising in Guwahati. She completed her MBBS and MD from Assam Medical College. Bora also runs an NGO by the name of “Sahai Sarathi”- a vertical under the Agniv Foundation, dedicated to mental health. She hails from Guwahati and was born and raised in Guwahati.
In an exclusive interview with Guwahati Times, Bora said, “I did my schooling at Disneyland High School, Guwahati. I passed my matriculation examination in 2004. I did my Higher Secondary from Srimanta Shankar Academy, Guwahati.”
Speaking about her modeling career, she said, “I was not sure if modeling was in my cards. But my friends, my seniors, my family- especially my husband and some of my teachers always prodded me to try modeling, saying that I could make it big there and I guess it’s all their blessings and morale-boosting that did the magic. I enrolled in Mrs. India 2020 out of a sheer whoopee and everything else just continued thereafter. I became one of the top 20 finalists of Mrs. India World 2020-21, then went on to become one of the top 10 finalists of Mrs. India Universe 2021 and finally was crowned Mrs. India International 1st runner up 2021.”
“On the 8th of November this very year, I was conferred the title of Mrs. Queen of the World_India 2021 by Malaika Arora in Mumbai and by virtue of this lofty title, I’m all set to represent my country India internationally in USA in March next year,” Bora added.
When asked about passion- modeling, she further said, “By the grace of the Almighty, I’m already blessed as a Consultant Psychiatrist; but I love to expand my horizons and push my limits. I believe that you must never shy away from following your passion because it brings to you the truest form of happiness and satisfaction. My passion for ‘Modelling and Pageantry’ brings in me tranquility and a sense of benediction and hence I’m definitely adopting these as my second career. I’m already endorsing a few brands as for instance the travel brand ‘Feel Northeast Ecotourism Private Limited’ and have been also extended with a few other offers and God willing, I believe I will take on them very soon.”
