Sikkim girl Pema Choden Bhutia is one of the winner of Sunsilk Mega Miss Northeast 2021 held recently in Guwahati, Assam. Bhutia hails from Sivik, Lingdok, in Sikkim.
In an exclusive interview with Guwahati Times, Pema Choden Bhutia said that she is a student of B.Tech Civil Engineering(REVA UNIVERSITY).
She did her schooling at Tashi Namgyal Academy and is currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree from Reva University.
Speaking about modeling, Bhutia said, “I won a state-level competition (Glam Miss Sikkim 2019) and since then I am into modeling. I am always passionate about pageants. I am a dreamer with a vision to do something for society.”
Replying to our question -What do you think about modeling as a career? – She said, “Pageant to me has always been about finding more about myself. It has made me who I am today – confident, independent, and moreover have helped me be the best version of myself.”
Adding about her recent victory, Bhutia said, “I won Sunsilk Mega Miss Northeast 2021. I gave an online audition and was selected for the event to represent my state, Sikkim. We were judged on each and every basis each passing day.”

I just am so thankful to each one of my supporters. I’m overwhelmed and I feel just so lucky to have every one of you there. Also, I just hope to make NE proud in the upcoming days.
As you are a winner now, what do you want to do for your society or community?
This is something very close to my heart. As I know education is something really important for today’s generation, I’ve been planning to work for the unprivileged ones and help them.
However, I as an individual would like to even say this- It need not have to do just because I won but we as an individual can do anything to help the ones in need.
When asked about her family’s reaction, Pema Choden Bhutia said, “My inspiration is my family. I still remember how excited they were when they got to know I got selected. They’ve been my backbone and they’re the reason behind my success.”
