A massive cycle rally against antisocial activities was organized at Darangamela along the indo-Bhutan border today under the initiative of the Tamulpur district police administration. The massive bicycle rally was taken out from Darangamela Police Out Post in collaboration with the Punjab Regiment of the Indian Army, 64 Bn of SSB, the Jet Team.
The Tamulpur District Police organized it to create awareness among the common people against human trafficking, child marriage, child labor, drugs and narcotics in the area. Today’s cycle rally was flagged off and inaugurated by Superintendent of Police of Tamulpur District Pankaj Yadav. She said that through today’s cycle rally, efforts are being made to spread a good and positive message to society by raising awareness among the public against child labor, child marriage, human trafficking and drugs.
Local MLA Jolen Daimary, Tamulpur subdivision police officer Rupjyoti Kalita, Commandant of 64 Bn SSB Nand Kishore Tamta, Deputy Commandant of 64 Bn SSB Sandeep Punia along also participated in the cycle rally taken out from Darangamela police station to Tamulpur police station. The rally was successfully ended in the premises of Tamulpur Police Station.
The bicycle rally was attended by local school- colleges students, SSB jawans, members of some local organizations, Police Officer-in-charge of Darangamela police Out Post Gopal Dolley as well as members of The Jet Team
