Techniche – IIT Guwahati, in association with UNICEF Assam, organised the Guwahati Half Marathon, to promote a better social and human interaction amongst the residents in and around Guwahati. This year the marathon witnessed the participation of over 1500 people from different walks of life on Sunday under the theme ‘Run for Child Protection, Stand up with Youth for Suraksha’.
Ashok Kumar Bharali, the general secretary of Assam Athletic Academy, attended the marathon as the guest of honour along with Dipak Kumar, regional director of NSS, and special guest Nibedan Das Patowary, ACS, government of Assam.
