In a function held at Puranigudam Girls’ High School, Ruhini Bezbaruah, a resident of Delhi and husband of a former student of Puranigudam Girls’ High School and Covid victim Lt Amiya Bezbaruah presented ‘Amiya Bezbaruah Memorial Incentive Awards’ among the top students of each standard of Puranigudam Girls’ High School and the topper of the school this year.
The programme was chaired by Bimal Chandra Katoki, president of school management committee and Amiya Bora, the headmistress of the school graced the occasion as chief invitee.
The incentive awards carried appraisal letters, mementos and cash of Rs 1000 each. The award will be presented to the meritorious students of the school every year by the husband of the former student Amiya Bezbaruah under the Amiya Bezbaruah memorial trust. In the presentation ceremony, Ruhini Bezbaruah, husband of Amiya Bezbaruah and their four daughters were present.
It is pertinent to mention that Amiya Bezbaruah died of Covid-19 on April 16, 2021, a release added.
