A sensational broad daylight robbery took place in the Chatribari area, Guwahati on Tuesday afternoon. Armed robbers entered the Kiranshree Apartment and looted property worth Rs 10 lakhs. The incident was caught on camera.
The miscreants allegedly looted Rs 10 lakh at gunpoint from the apartment of Gautam Saze.
“A gang of four people came into our house directly with knives, shut the door, and dragged me and my mother. They took all our jewelry. Firstly, they snatched a chain from my neck, then they asked me where I keep my other jewelry, I knew if I shout or call for help they will do something. So, I showed them the place where I keep my jewelry and they took everything. They also took cash,” said one of the victims.
“It was around 12 pm. There were five of them. I asked them where they were going, they told me they are here to take their clothes and they live nearby. The guy who was wearing a blue shirt was talking with me in Assamese language,” said the building security guard.
