In a major victory against militancy, a senior NSCN (R) cadre has been arrested by security forces from the Namtola area in eastern Assam’s Charaideo district.
The arrested militant has been identified as Ompha Wangen who hails from Junubasti in Nagaland’s Mon district.
Wangen(46) was arrested while he was on his way to Kanubari in Longding district of Arunachal Pradesh to collect extortion money from a forest department official.
