BTR EM Gautam Das Denies Allegations of merging with BPF

Bodoland Territorial Region (BTR) Executive Member and BJP leader Gautam Das has denied the allegations of him supporting the Bodoland Peoples’ Front(BPF) party for the formation of a new government in the Bodoland Territorial Region.

Addressing the reporters today at a press conference held at Co-operative Guest House, Titaguri in Kokrajhar, Das said that BPF party workers including their senior leaders have been making fake allegations about BJP elected members and BTC executive members supporting the BPF party to form a new government in the BTR.

He said that the reports of the merging of a few BJP EMs including him are totally baseless and politically motivated by the opposition, trying to regain their party’s image among the people.

He said that the reports highlighted on the news are totally baseless and maybe political propaganda made by the opposition party with an aim to create confusion and chaos.

He has claimed that all elected members and BTR executive members BJP party are not going to make any merging up with the opposition BPF party.

”I left the BPF party a few years back and joined BJP and now I am an Executive Member in the BTR government, what more can I expect from the current government. BJP elected members and BTR Executive Members are deeply intact within the party as well as with the BTR government. There are no possibilities of BJP party members supporting BPF in the region”, Das said.
