The Anusuchit Jati Yuba Chatra Parishad, Asom has welcomed the Government’s action of initiating action against illegal appointment of 217 employees in the Assam Fisheries Development Corporation (AFDC) Ltd between 2018 and 2020.
A press release of the central committee of the SC students’ body welcomed the process initiated by the AFDC, presently having Guru Jyoti Das as chairman, against 217 employees appointed in Grade III and IV categories during 2018-20 period.
It may be mentioned here that the AFDC authorities have reportedly served show-cause notices to 217 employees asking them to state reasons why the corporation should not take administrative action against them by terminating them from the service of AFDC Ltd for their illegal entry into the corporation.
The action comes after a high-level committee headed by the additional chief secretary inquired into the appointment of the said employees and found illegalities in the appointment process.
