The conflict of elephant-human in the Indo-Bhutan border is hilariously increasing day by day.
Wild elephant made the people of the Indo-Bhutan border under Udalguri district sleepless. For the lack of food, shelter and for deforestation, hundred of wild elephant herds are coming in the population. In this current year, many innocent people died for the conflict of elephant-human and many wild elephant also died unnaturally in entire Udalguri district. Wild elephants are causing terror continuously in the district which are coming from the mountains of Arunachal and Bhutan including Khalingduar Reserved Forest and Barnadi sanctuary from evening till next day early morning. These herds of wild elephant have been destroying houses, valuable plants as well as crop fields in the greater region.
Today in the early morning also a large herds of wild elephant destroyed 11 families houses in Farm line Budlapara of Udalguri district. On the other hand, a herd of wild elephant destroyed 8 families houses in Bamunjuli Tea estate. It is mentionable that, today in the early morning wild elephants destroyed 11 families houses in Farm line Budlapara Tea Estate including Sunny Kawnar, Birsa Khediya, Savio Tigga, Gahnu Munda, Birsa Munda, Raj Kawnar, Richa Khediya, Dane Khediya, Francis Kujur, Pouwlos Munda and Lobo Guria.
Whereas, wild elephants also destroyed 8 families houses of Bamunjuli Tea Estate including Nanda Rajbongshi, Dibyajyoti Das, Shrimanta Boro, Pratima Bhumij, Shrisaran Tanti, Deba Munda. To prevent the elephant-human conflict in Indo-Bhutan border, Udalguri District Forest Department has failed so far.
Noticeable that currently, to banish the wild elephant from population Dhansiri Divisional Forest Office have taken 4 domestic (kunki) elephant, but they have not used to banish so far
