Jessica Olivet Kharlukhi bagged the first-runner-up title at the Miss Meghalaya 2022 beauty pageant held at U Soso Tham auditorium, Shillong on September 10.
She completed her schooling at St.Mary’s H.S. School and St. Mary’s College, Shillong and is currently pursuing Masters of Sociology from North Eastern Hill University.
In an exclusive interview with Guwahati Times, Kharlukhi told us about her hobbies, She said she likes Journaling, watching Case documentaries, etc.
▶️Since when have you been modelling and How you came into modelling?
I have just started my Pageantry Career in the year 2022 itself. Starting From Miss Mawlai 2022 I bagged the title of Miss Mawlai 1st runner-up which paved my way to Miss Meghalaya.
▶️How do you feel after winning the 1st runner-up title?
I believe hard work, determination and being open-minded to every aspect have led me to win the title. God is the first one I thank, if it wasn’t for Him, I wouldn’t even be able to uptake the Auditions.
▶️What do you think about- Modelling as a career?
My strongest pillars are my family. I am the first in my family to become a Pageant Queen. Through and through, none can beat their encouragement for they believe everyone was given a purpose in life and this is mine. We need to polish ourselves to become even better individuals
