District Agriculture Office Biswanath organizes one-day Rice Value Chain Training Program

 District Agriculture Office in Biswanath, Assam organized a one-day Rice Value Chain Training Program at the Chaiduar Farmers Producer Company in Ghahigaon, Gohpur, as part of the APART Project.

Biswanath, Assam – The District Agriculture Office conducted a one-day Rice Value Chain Training Program at the Chaiduar Farmers Producer Company in Ghahigaon, Gohpur, under the APART Project. The program was aimed at educating farmers about different rice value chain machines, hands-on training, and upcoming sali session seed production.

The program began with an introduction by Suren Rajkhowa, one of the Board of Directors at Chaiduar FPC. He welcomed everyone to the program and talked about the importance of such training for farmers. He also thanked the District Agriculture Office and the APART Project for organizing the program.
Next, Rahul Borah, an official from the APART Project, took the stage and described different rice value chain machines to the farmers. He also provided hands-on training to the participants to help them understand the operation and maintenance of the machines.
Pankaj Baruah, a Research Technician from the APART Project Sonitpur, then discussed the upcoming sali session seed production. He explained the process of seed production and how farmers could benefit from it. He also answered questions from the farmers regarding the seed production process.
Pratima Baruah, the Management Information System (MIS) Coordinator at the APART Project Biswanath, coordinated the program. She ensured that everything ran smoothly and that all participants had access to the necessary resources.
Samiran Baruah, the CEO of Chaiduar FPC, was also present at the program along with more than 30 farmers. He talked about the importance of such programs and how they could help farmers improve their yield and income. He also thanked the District Agriculture Office and the APART Project for organizing the program.
The program was a great success, and the farmers appreciated the efforts made by the District Agriculture Office and the APART Project to educate and empower them. The farmers were excited to implement the knowledge gained from the program and were hopeful that it would help them improve their rice production and income.
