Indian Women’s Roll Ball Team bagged the bronze medal(2nd runner-up) at the 6th Roll Ball World Cup held at Balwadi Stadium in Pune from April 21 to 26.
Indian women’s team beat the countries Poland, Latvia, Siriya, Leoni, and Argentina in the World Cup. The team lost against Eqypt 4-3 in the semifinal. Then, India played for the 3rd place with Poland and beat 12-1.
Assam’s Alisha Farheen, the goalkeeper of the Indian Roll Ball team played remarkably. She saved penalty shots against Argentina and also won the title of ‘Player of the Match’ in the semifinals against Egypt.
