Guwahati, April 17, 2023: Modern English School (MES) Guwahati, one of the leading educational institutions in Guwahati, is delighted to share that its meritorious student, Ms Shompia Roy of Class X, participated in the State Level Kala Utsav competition and demonstrated her exceptional skill in the Vocal Music Traditional Folk (Female) category in the National Level Kala Utsav 2022 organized in Bhubaneswar (Odisha) from 3rd to 7th January 2023.
Kala Utsav is an ambitious initiative of the Ministry of Education (MoE) under Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RSMA) that aims to promote arts in education by fostering and showcasing the artistic talents of school students at the secondary stage across the country.
The initiative underlines the significance of aesthetics and artistic experiences for secondary-level students, which are crucial in expanding awareness about India’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant diversity.
