The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has assumed control of the inquiry into four separate cases associated with the untimely demise of Sub-Inspector Junmoni Rabha, a prominent female police officer from Assam. The investigations, previously handled by Assam Police, revolve around Rabha’s death in a suspected road accident last month, as confirmed by officials.
The CBI plans to summon individuals for questioning and will also engage with the medical professionals who conducted Rabha’s autopsy, sources revealed.
On May 16, Junmoni Rabha, aged 30 and widely known as ‘Lady Singham’ or ‘Dabang cop,’ tragically lost her life in the early hours when her vehicle collided head-on with a container truck in Sarubhugia village, located in the Kaliabor subdivision of Nagaon district.
