Delhi-based Assamese journalist Deepangshu Dev Sarmah no more

Deepangshu Dev Sarmah, one of the prominent auto sector journalists of the country passed away in Dubai on Sunday. Deepangshu who hailed from Assam reportedly suffered a heart attack at Dubai Airport on his way to Germany.

Deepangshu was the Editor of ‘Mobility Outlook’, a mobility sector digital platform. Earlier he was associated with many leading media houses of the country and rose to prominence as a veteran automobile journalist.

Media fraternity has expressed grief over his untimely demise.

“Finding it very difficult to process. Dear friend and one of India’s leading auto sector journalists, Deepangshu Dev Sarmah, is no more. He suffered a heart attack at Dubai Airport on his way to Germany. My heart goes out to his wife Naina and their little daughter. Not an age to go Deepangshu. Travel well, my friend,” journalist Utpal Borpujari wrote on Facebook.

Journalist Rajeev Bhattacharyya expressed his sorrow on Facebook, “RIP Deepangshu.
He was among the prominent Assamese journalists in Delhi who passed away in Dubai today.”
