Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: In a recent social media interaction, actor Shah Rukh Khan shared his delightful experience of once again collaborating with Deepika Padukone in the action thriller film ‘Jawan.’
Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone have previously graced the silver screen together in popular films like ‘Om Shanti Om,’ ‘Chennai Express,’ ‘Happy New Year,’ and ‘Pathaan.’ They also made special appearances together in ‘Billu’ and ‘Zero.’
During a #AskSRK session on X (formerly known as Twitter), a user inquired about his experience working with Deepika for the seventh time. SRK responded warmly, saying, “It’s always a pleasure and happiness working with her.”
Deepika and SRK’s chemistry in the film ‘Jawan’ has garnered significant appreciation from audiences.
During the same Q&A session, another user asked SRK about his son AbRam’s reaction to ‘Jawan.’ He humorously replied, “Baap Baap hota hai..!! No no just joking. He loved the fight with the Big guy….he loved it in the climax. #Jawan.”
Yet another fan asked the ‘Chak De India’ actor to choose between his characters Vikram and Aazad in ‘Jawan.’ SRK playfully responded, “Arre how to choose. I loved the fact that they both hug warmly even when they do to each other and kiss when they hug. #Jawan.”
Meanwhile, ‘Jawan’ has received a tremendous response from the audience and has become the fourth highest-grossing Hindi film. It recently earned Rs 7.25 crores, bringing its total India collection to Rs 473.44 crores.
Directed by Atlee, the film also stars Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi in pivotal roles.
At a press conference in Mumbai, attended by SRK, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, Sunil Grover, and Atlee, Shah Rukh Khan expressed his excitement for the film’s success. He said, “It’s a celebration. We rarely get a chance to live with a film for years. The making of Jawan has been going on for four years due to Covid and time constraints. There were a lot of people involved in this film, especially people from the South who came and settled in Mumbai and have been living in Mumbai for the last four years and working day and night for this film, which is the hardest work ever.”
‘Jawan’ also features Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Ridhi Dogra, Lehar Khan, Girija Oak, and Sanjeeta Bhattacharya in impactful roles.
During the event, SRK also confirmed the release date of his upcoming movie ‘Dunki.’ He shared, “We started on January 26, Republic Day (with Pathaan), then on Janmashtami we released Jawan, now New Year and Christmas are round the corner, we will release ‘Dunki.’ I keep National integration. Anyway, when my film is released, it is Eid.”
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Dunki’ also stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role, marking the first collaboration between Shah Rukh Khan and the renowned director.
As for Deepika Padukone’s upcoming projects, she is set to appear in the Pan-India action thriller film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ alongside Prabhas. The film also features Disha Patani and Amitabh Bachchan in pivotal roles. Additionally, Deepika has an aerial action thriller film ‘Fighter’ opposite Hrithik Roshan in the pipeline.
