A heart-wrenching incident unfolded in Guwahati’s Gaushala locality as a young life was lost amidst violent clashes stemming from a land dispute on Sunday.
Initial reports indicate that a dispute ignited between a local club and the family of the deceased youth regarding the purchase of a specific piece of land. It is alleged that members of the Jupiter Club had acquired this land through a transaction with a woman acquainted with the youth in question.
Tensions escalated rapidly over financial matters related to the land acquisition, leading to a verbal confrontation between the two parties.
Serious allegations of a brutal assault have been directed towards the members of Jupiter Club, who reportedly subjected the youth to severe physical harm. Despite being rushed to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) for urgent medical attention, the young victim tragically succumbed to his injuries while receiving treatment, as confirmed by reliable sources.
In another distressing development, a second youth currently remains in critical condition and is undergoing intensive medical treatment at GMCH.
