On the eve of the legendary actor Kamal Haasan’s birthday, the title of his much-anticipated film with Mani Ratnam has been unveiled.
Kamal Haasan took to his social media platform to share the first look poster and announce the title of his forthcoming film, which was previously referred to as ‘KH234’ and is now officially titled ‘Thug Life.’
The film’s production house, Raaj Kamal Films International, treated fans to an intriguing title announcement video on Instagram. The caption read, “A NEW NAME, A NEW HISTORY! #ThugLife. #KH234 #Ulaganayagan #KamalHaasan #HBDKamalSir #HBDUlaganayagan.”
In the video, Kamal Haasan is seen in an entirely new avatar, standing in a misty and desolate landscape, clad in a rugged cloak. The video teases a dramatic sequence where Kamal is pursued by a group of men, adding to the intrigue. The camera pans across his face, revealing his striking appearance, complete with a prominent mustache and beard.
The much-awaited collaboration between Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam is anticipated to be a gripping gangster drama.
‘Thug Life’ is directed by Mani Ratnam and co-produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Madras Talkies. The film features a star-studded cast, including Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Dulquer Salmaan, Abhirami, and Nasser, with the musical score composed by the acclaimed AR Rahman.
In addition to ‘Thug Life,’ Kamal Haasan is set to feature in ‘Kalki 2898 AD,’ an upcoming sci-fi action film. The title and the film’s first glimpse were recently unveiled at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC). The film stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Disha Patani, and Kamal Haasan in lead roles and is scheduled for release on January 12, 2024.
