In a heartwarming moment, American singer-songwriter Katy Perry’s 3-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, made her first public appearance during Perry’s final performance as part of her Las Vegas residency, ‘Play.’
Daisy Dove was featured onscreen during a segment of the Saturday evening show, as reported by People. As Perry was about to sing her 2008 hit “Hot n Cold,” she took a pause to acknowledge her daughter, who she shares with fiancé Orlando Bloom. Daisy Dove was born in August 2020.
In a fan-captured video shared on social media, Perry lovingly said, “Daisy! I adore you. You’re my best friend, I’m so glad you’re here.”
The pop sensation continued to address her daughter directly, saying, “I’m gonna sing this next song, I think you know it.” Daisy Dove, dressed as Minnie Mouse, was the apple of her mother’s eye during the performance.
Katy Perry also took the opportunity to pay tribute to Orlando Bloom, referring to him as “an incredible support system” and “an amazing father.” Perry shared her journey as a mother, explaining that she created the show after the birth of Daisy Dove.
“When I met her, it was like all the love I was ever searching for finally showed up. She made me whole, and she healed me, and she showed me how to play again,” Perry emotionally revealed.
She went on to describe her show as an homage to everyone’s inner child, highlighting the hope that viewing life through the eyes of a child can set us free.
Fans were also treated to a delightful moment when Perry’s performance of ‘Chained to the Rhythm’ featured footage of Orlando Bloom and Daisy dancing in the audience.
Katy Perry initially surprised her fans by revealing her pregnancy with Daisy in the music video for her song “Never Worn White.” Subsequently, she and Orlando Bloom joined forces with UNICEF to announce the birth of their daughter, sharing a touching black-and-white photo of them holding their child’s hand.
