Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra gains momentum with Chief Minister’s presence in Kokrajhar

In a remarkable display of commitment to the progress of state, Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma graced the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY) programme at Habrubari in Kokrajhar today. The event was also attended by Sri. Ashok Singhal, Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs and Irrigation and Sri Pramod Boro, Chief Executive Member, Bodo Territorial Region. During the Yatra, the Chief Minister engaged with beneficiaries, urging the public to actively enroll in various government developmental schemes.

In addition to the significant gathering in Kokrajhar, today, the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra took place in Bihpuria, in the Lakhimpur district. Shri Amiya Kumar Bhuyan, the MLA of Bihpuria Constituency, joined the VBSY program, where different departments shared their plans to help the community. The Yatra also got a great response in Kadam Gaon Panchayat of Lakhimpur – lots of folks gathered to sign up for various helpful programs right there at the event.                                                                                        

As of December 20, 2023, the Yatra has crossed approximately 1,629 Gram Panchayats and urban areas, with a notable participation of around 16,14,326 individuals. Health camps at the Yatra sites have screened around 2,79,884 people.

The VBSY events witnessed active engagement from  diverse group of participants, reflecting the inclusive spirit of VBSY. The program continues to gain momentum, sharing commitment to the socio-economic advancement of state.
