Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh High Commission visits GCU

GUWAHATI,July 17: Assistant High Commissioner of Bangladesh High Commission, Guwahati Ruhul Amin along with other officials visited Girijananda Chowdhury University in Azara on Monday to explore and strengthen collaborations between India and Bangladesh and also possible collaboration between GCU and Bangladesh universities.
In a reception organized on the occasion, Prof. Kandarpa Das, Vice Chancellor, GCU welcomed the guests highlighting the essence of the visit for intellectual exchange and collaboration. Prof. Jayanta Deka, Chancellor, GCU addressed the importance of bridging the gaps between nations to broaden the horizons of learning and collaboration.


Jasoda Ranjan Das, President, SSA Society elucidated on effective educational conclave to broaden goals of education and cultural understanding between the countries. In his reciprocal address Ruhul Amin highlighted the importance of collaborations between two countries and in higher education to inculcate academic and cultural exchange.


The event is expected to facilitate exchange of faculty and students, research and open up new avenues for learning and growth. The meeting were attended by Deans, Head of the departments, faculty members, university staff and research scholars of GCU.


The members expected to promote an environment which will lead to the sharing of knowledge and resources between institutions of India and Bangladesh.
