Guwahati, 15th September 2024: The Catering Room, a luxury catering and event management company based in Guwahati, has been awarded the prestigious title of “Best Caterer of the Year (East)” at the Food Connoisseurs India Awards – National Edition 2024. The award ceremony took place at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, New Delhi.
Co-owners Chinmoy Talukdar and Gitima Bhattacharya received the accolade, which was presented by prominent culinary figures including Chef Kunal Kapur, Celebrity Chef and MasterChef India judge; Chef Manjeet Gill, President of IFCA and Managing Director of Eco Green Hospitality Pvt. Ltd.; and Mr. Kazem Samandari, Executive Chairman of L’Opera.
Speaking to Guwahati Times, when asked about his feeling, Chinmoy Talukdar said, “This is a milestone we have always dreamed of achieving since we started in this industry. Off course we still have a long way to go before we realise our ultimate goals – but this is indeed the right step in the right direction.”
“So yeah !! We feel really excited and at same time incredibly humbled by the reciept of this recognition,” Talukdar added.
