Abhijit Kalita, Palasbari, Oct 17: The Lai Khuta for the 78th Palasbari Raas Festival was formally erected on Thursday by Monimoy Kar, President of the Palasbari Raas Celebration Committee, along with Secretaries Arup Das and Pankaj Das. The ceremony took place in the presence of the Palasbari Raas Reception Committee and local residents.
During the event, President Monimoy Kar noted that the Lai Khuta has been traditionally erected on the occasion of Sri Sri Mahalakshmi Puja every year as part of the historic festival.
Preparations are underway for this year’s Raas festival, which is set to take place from November 15 to 29.
