In a recent interview, renowned writer Salim Khan spoke candidly about his son, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, who has faced accusations of poaching blackbucks in Rajasthan decades ago. The Bishnoi community, known for its dedication to wildlife conservation, has called for Salman to apologize for the incident, which has reignited public interest in the case.
Salim Khan asserted that he had asked Salman about the allegations, and the actor firmly denied any involvement, stating he was not present at the scene of the incident. “He was not even in the car when it happened,” Salim claimed, adding, “He never lies to me. Salman has no interest in harming animals; in fact, he loves them.”
Defending his son’s character, Salim emphasized that Salman is known for his compassionate nature in the film industry, mentioning, “He wouldn’t even harm a cockroach.” He expressed disbelief at the idea that Salman should seek forgiveness, questioning the motives behind such demands. “Who should he apologize to? How many animals have you saved?” he challenged.
Salim also denied any wrongdoing on Salman’s part, insisting that they have never even used a gun. “Have you seen any crime committed? Have you investigated?” he asked.
The interview comes in the wake of heightened security measures for Salman, particularly after the shocking assassination of Baba Siddiqui on Dussehra, a crime for which the Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility. This gang threatened anyone who aided Salman, prompting Mumbai police to bolster the actor’s security.
As the controversy unfolds, the focus remains on the implications of the blackbuck poaching case and the ongoing concerns for Salman’s safety amidst gang threats.
