Agriculture credit and FI saturation camp held in Boko

GUWAHATI,Aug 20: An Agriculture Credit Camp along with a Financial Inclusion (FI) Saturation Campaign focusing on government social security schemes – Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY) was organized by Central Bank of India at 28 No. Uttar Boko Gaon Panchayat Office in Boko Block under Kamrup district today.


The programme was graced by the presence of Zonal Head Anil Kumar, Regional Head Sudip Kumar and Gram Panchayat President, who interacted with the participants and encouraged them to avail the benefits of these schemes.
The event witnessed active participation of Self-Help Group (SHG) members from nearby branches, who were sensitized about the importance of formal credit in agriculture, financial inclusion, and social security coverage.
The dignitaries highlighted the bank’s commitment to empowering farmers and rural entrepreneurs through easy access to credit facilities.


As part of the programme, sanction letters were distributed to 52 Self Help Group (SHG), marking a significant step towards empowering rural communities.


A total of 18 crore was sanctioned under various agricultural and allied credit facilities in the Barpeta Road region.


The programme concluded with an interactive session where SHG members expressed their views and sought guidance, marking the event as a step forward in strengthening rural credit delivery and financial awareness.
